A Tribute to Moms

“Whether you have little baby girls or little baby boys, both will grow to adore you, their mommy. Do you ever contemplate how neat this is? You are like a princess or hero to your children in many ways. You are the one they’ve learned to go to for every need since they were born, and the one they look to for advice and comfort when they’re down. None of us deserve to have such admiration, but there is One who does…Teach them through your example that mommy depends on Jesus for all her ‘strength’ and that her beauty inside and out comes from Our Heavenly Father. Jesus, allow me to radiate you so that my children will one day realize it is YOU in me.” (a passage from chapter 17 in my book entitled, Mommy’s Inspirations).

Winter discoveries

Mother’s Day can be filled with such joy and sorrow. Moms who have passed on and their children left to remember them, others who long to be a mom and are struggling to or maybe never will be. Of course still others will relish in spending some special time with their mom, and those moms-to-be or young mothers who are beginning to experience the self-sacrifice required in motherhood themselves.

Mom. How many times have you said that word in your lifetime? Countless. Perhaps now you are the one hearing it 24/7 from your little ones! A mother can be a priceless instrument in God’s hand for the using if she is so willing. Take time to reflect on that in your own life, and remember and speak about the grandmas and mothers that have gone before you in your family. Don’t forget the share THEIR legacy, especially if they were believers.

Psalm 127:3 “Children are a GIFT from the Lord; they are REWARD from him” (and LOTS of work)! When we depend on God it all falls into place: “All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.” Isaiah 54:13

Happy Mother’s Day, dear ones!

Amen sista! Yes, I never want to forget the legacy of those who have gone before us. I pray that our legacy can be remembered as well by our kids and grandkids some day as well. 🙂 Thank you for your words, Brittany!
